How to Install the iNC Network Controller Module
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the iNC Network Controller Module for Panduit SmartZone G5 iPDUs.

Supplies needed:
USB Drive
- Remove existing connections
Disconnect all cables from the front of the existing iNC Network Control Module, documenting the port connections for later reconnection.
- Loosen screws
Using a T10 screwdriver, loosen the two screws securing the existing iNC Network Control Module or Upgradable iPDU Blanking Panel.
- Remove the existing module
Carefully remove the iNC Network Control Module or Upgradable iPDU Blanking Panel from the PDU chassis.
- Disconnect ribbon cable
For the iNC Network Control Module, disconnect the ribbon cable from the PDU chassis.
- Connect the new module
Plug the ribbon cable into the replacement iNC Network Controller Module.
- Install the new module
Install the replacement iNC Network Control Module into the PDU chassis, ensuring the ribbon cable is not strained or kinked.
- Tighten screws
Using a T10 screwdriver, tighten the two screws securing the iNC Network Control Module in place, ensuring not to over-tighten.
- Update firmware
Download the latest firmware from http://www.panduit.com/pdu-support, save it to the root directory of a USB Drive, and insert it into the iNC Network Controller.
- Enter USB mode
Press Select / Go to Setup > USB > Yes on the PDU to enter USB mode.
- Upload new firmware
Select F/W Up > Yes to upload the new firmware and monitor the OLED for progress.
- Complete firmware update
Once the upload is complete, remove the USB Drive and select Quit to exit USB mode, confirming the exit.
- Reboot and verify
The PDU will automatically reboot. To confirm successful firmware upload, navigate to Setup > Device > Firmware.
