Screwdriver, Wire strippers
Supplies needed:
#12 sheet metal screws, Cable ties, Connecting blocks, Ground lug, 1/4" x 3/4" machine screw, Nut, 1/4" external tooth lockwasher
- Mount the tower
Mount the tower to the wall using #12 wood screws or equivalent. Ensure the bottom of the tower is at least 8 inches from the floor to allow space for the horizontal cable manager trough. Note that some applications may require different mounting hardware.
- Route and secure cables
Route the cable bundle into the tower and fan out individual cables into their appropriate positions through the provided cutouts. Leave 12 to 18 inches of slack. Use cable ties to secure the bundle to the raised tabs on the back of the tower.
- Position and secure the base
Position the base over the slots in the tower and secure it with two #12 sheet metal screws. Place conductors into the index strip and install connecting blocks according to the instruction sheet PN51*.
- Install jumper troughs
Install jumper troughs between bases using two #12 sheet metal screws.
- Install cable managers and ground
Install vertical cable managers adjacent to the towers using #12 wood screws or equivalent. Attach the horizontal cable manager trough to the towers and vertical cable managers using #12 sheet metal screws and #12 external tooth lockwashers. Fasten securely to ensure grounding. Attach the ground lug (P/N:LAM2A2/0-14-6) with a 1/4" x 3/4" machine screw, nut, and 1/4" external tooth lockwasher to the bottom of the horizontal cable manager trough.
