T25 Torx bit, 15mm socket wrench, Screwdriver
Supplies needed:
Countersunk Torx screws, M10 Hex screws, Equipment Rail Mount Nuts, Shims
- Remove existing front rails
Use a T25 Torx bit to remove the existing front rails from the cabinet posts. Ensure all equipment is removed to prevent falling hazards.
- Install front equipment rails
Secure the front equipment rails to the front cabinet posts using 5 countersunk Torx screws per rail. Use shims as necessary to ensure proper EIA spacing.
- Install rear equipment rail mounting brackets
Attach 4 equipment rail mounting brackets to the equipment rails using 3 countersunk Torx screws per bracket. Ensure the countersunk holes of the brackets align with the screws.
- Position and secure rear equipment rails
Locate the desired position for the rear equipment rails. Insert 2 equipment rail mount nuts through the slots of the front-to-back beam and fasten with M10 hex screws. Tighten to 30.0 +/- 5.0 N-m.
