What material are Stainless Steel Trefoil Cleats made of?
Stainless Steel Trefoil Cable Cleats are made of 316L stainless steel.
How are Stainless Steel Trefoil Cleats installed?
They can be installed after running cables using a mounting bracket or before running cables directly to the cable tray rung with an M8 bolt.
What cables are compatible with Stainless Steel Buckle Strap Cleats?
Stainless Steel Buckle Strap Cable Cleats are compatible with quad, trefoil, and multicore cables.
How are Stainless Steel Buckle Strap Cleats installed?
They are installed after running the cable via a mounting bracket, then tensioned and cut with a ratchet-style tool or tension screwdriver.
What tools are used for Buckle Strap Cleat installation?
The manually-operated BT2HTI and BT75SDT tools are used to install buckle strap cleats.
Can cable cleats be installed after cables are pulled?
Yes, Panduit mounting brackets allow for cable cleats to be installed after the cable has been pulled and run in the tray.
Which cleats are compatible with CBH Series mounting brackets?
CBH Series brackets are compatible with CCSSTR series stainless steel trefoil cleats and CCALTR series aluminum trefoil cleats.
How can galvanic corrosion be prevented with Aluminum Trefoil Cleats?
Insulating spacers and washers are available to protect against galvanic corrosion between dissimilar cable tray rung and cable cleat materials.

How to Install the MLT Locking Strap Cable Cleat
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the MLT Locking Strap Cable Cleat, ensuring secure cable management on ladder rung systems.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Scissors or shears, PBTMT Installation Tool
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Cushion sleeve, MLT Strap Cleat
- Mount the bracket
Align and insert the channel nut through the bottom opening of the ladder rung. Position the bracket assembly perpendicular to the ladder rung and thread the channel nut, rotating it 90 degrees to grasp the channel edges. Torque the bolt to a recommended 75 lbs∙in [8.5 N∙m].
- Prepare the cushion sleeve
Cut the cushion sleeve to a suitable length to wrap around the perimeter of the cables and bracket. Position the cushion sleeve around the cables and bracket, ensuring there is some overlap when fully wrapped.
- Install the MLT Strap Cleat
Wrap the cushion sleeve around the cables and bracket. Encircle the cable bundle with the MLT Strap Cleat, insert the tail into the strap cleat head, and pull the tail until taut. Repeat this step to create a double loop, ensuring the MLT Strap Cleats are double looped for functionality.
- Tension the strap cleat
Before using the PBTMT tool, review the separate instructions for proper operation. Set the tool tension to match the MLT Strap Cleat being used. Feed the MLT Strap Cleat’s tail into the nose and mandrel slots of the tool.
- Finalize the installation
Press and hold the trigger on the PBTMT tool until it automatically tensions the MLT Strap Cleat and cuts off the excess tail, leaving a flush finish.
