This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the KMTRTH changeover kit, including replacing the anvil and setshear finger.

Tools needed:
3/32” Allen Wrench, 1/16” Allen Wrench, Screwdriver
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Thread-lock tube
- Remove the old anvil
Use a 3/32” Allen Wrench to remove the two screws holding the anvil onto the tool. Set the old anvil aside.
- Install the new anvil
Place the new anvil onto the bottom of the tool, ensuring it straddles the two plates with the slots toward the rear. Slide the anvil backwards until the slots engage the pins, then replace the screws with a drop of thread-lock.
- Replace the setshear finger
Remove the screw holding the setshear finger using a 1/16” Allen Wrench. Slide the setshear finger towards the front of the tool to disengage it, then pull it down and out. Install the new setshear finger by sliding it into place and ensuring the notch engages the retaining tab.
- Adjust the set screw stop
With the cut-off handle moved forward, turn the set screw clockwise until the setshear finger just touches the anvil. Back the set screw out 1/4 turn and recheck the clearance to ensure the finger does not hit the anvil.
