HTMLT ties, Safety glasses, Safety gloves
- Select the appropriate HTMLT tie
Refer to the lookup table for pipe diameters and select the correct HTMLT tie part number based on the pipe size. Ensure you choose the next highest size if your pipe diameter is not listed.
- Position the heat trace
Position the heat trace against the pipe, ensuring it is aligned properly. Wrap the HTMLT tie around the pipe and heat trace every 12 inches, feeding the tail into the head of the tie.
- Tighten the HTMLT tie
Using the ST4MT tool, feed the tail of the HTMLT tie through the side entry head. Squeeze the handle to tighten the tie, ensuring the heat trace is pulled into contact with the pipe. Stop tightening before the tie flattens out.
- Cut excess material
Once the heat trace is secure against the pipe, engage the cutting action of the ST4MT tool to remove any excess material from the tie.
- Repeat installation
Continue to wrap and secure the heat trace every 12 inches along the entire length of the pipe until fully attached.
