MLT stainless steel ties
- Position the tie
Place the MLT stainless steel tie around the material to be fastened.
- Tighten the tie
Pull the tip through the locking head and hand tighten firmly to the material.
- Insert the tie into the tool
Slide the edge of the tip of the tie into the slot located at the end of the HTMT tool shaft.
- Tension the tie
Rotate the tool so that the tie tip goes down toward and under the remaining excess tie. Continue to turn the tie into a coil until you have reached the desired amount of tension.
- Remove the tool
While releasing pressure from the coil, slide the tool out of the center of the coil.
- Cut off excess tie (optional)
The coil may be cut off after tensioning if a lower profile is necessary. However, be cautious as a sharp edge will remain after cut-off.
