Ground wire, GPWC clamp, U-bolts, Nuts
- Prepare the pipe
Clean the surface of the pipe where the grounding clamp will be installed to ensure optimal contact.
- Wrap the ground wire
Measure approximately 15 inches plus 7.2 times the actual outer diameter of the pipe. Wrap the bare ground wire around the pipe for two complete revolutions, leaving extra length to fit through the clamp.
- Attach the GPWC clamp
Position the GPWC clamp over the wrapped ground wire and secure it using the U-bolts and nuts. Tighten the smaller U-bolt first, followed by the larger U-bolt, ensuring there is no gap between the wires.
- Check and adjust torque
Use a torque wrench to check the torque on each nut alternately until the proper torque is reached. Ensure the clamp is firmly secured to the pipe without movement.
