This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the GPWC2/0-L-1 Grounding Pipe Clamp to ensure a secure grounding connection.

3/4" Wrench, Torque wrench
Supplies needed:
Ground wire, GPWC clamp, U-bolts, Silicon bronze nuts
- Prepare the pipe
Clean the pipe surface where the clamp will be installed to ensure optimal connection.
- Wrap the ground wire
Measure approximately 15 inches plus 7.2 times the actual outer pipe diameter. Wrap the bare ground wire around the pipe for 2 full revolutions, leaving extra length to fit through the clamp.
- Attach the GPWC clamp
Position the GPWC clamp over the wrapped wire and secure it using the U-bolts and hardware. Tighten the smaller U-bolt first to prevent wire slippage, then tighten the larger U-bolt.
- Check and adjust torque
Use a torque wrench to check the torque on each nut alternately until the proper torque is reached. Ensure the clamp is firmly secured to the pipe without movement.
- Final verification
If the clamp is not secure, loosen both bolts, reposition the clamp closer to the pipe, and re-torque until the correct torque is achieved with no gaps between wires.
