Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Grommets, Strain relief brackets
- Mount the enclosure
Position the enclosure mounting brackets on the rack and secure the enclosure using 12 #12-24 x 1/2" screws or M6x1 screws for metric racks. Start with the center brackets to prevent tipping.
- Prepare grommets for cable entry
Determine the size of the innerduct to be used and remove the pre-installed grommets as needed. Cut the grommets according to the provided diagram for the appropriate innerduct size.
- Install strain relief brackets
At each cable entry point, install strain relief brackets using #10-32 x 3/8" screws and #10-32 hex nuts to secure the cables entering the enclosure.
- Insert fiber optic cassettes
Insert the Opticom QuickNet Pre-Terminated Fiber Optic Cassettes into the enclosure and fully seat the NyLatches to secure them in place.
- Route and secure fiber cables
Route the fiber cables through the grommets to the cassettes, allowing for approximately 1 meter of slack. Use Tak-Tys to bundle and secure the cables to the shelf and at the cable entry location.
- Install doors
Align the slots on the doors with the tabs on the enclosure and push until you hear a click to secure the doors in place.
