Overview

The Panduit FRESPKT6 FiberRunner Expansion Splice Kit is a precision-engineered solution for joining two sections of 6"x4" FiberRunner Routing System channel. This kit includes one 6x4 Lower Trough Inner Coupler, one 6x4 Lower Trough Outer Coupler, two 1/4-20 hex nuts, and one #8-32 screw, enabling secure and stable channel connections without additional hardware purchases. The couplers are designed for installation anywhere along the FiberRunner system, with the exception of locations where Lower Trough Support Brackets (FDFLMBKT6, sold separately) are mounted, ensuring flexibility in system design while maintaining structural integrity. The 6"x4" channel size is ideal for high-density fiber optic cable management in data centers, telecommunications facilities, and industrial environments where organized routing and protection of cables are critical. The kit’s components are manufactured from steel, with a black finish, and weigh 1.5 lbs (0.7 kg). All materials are RoHS compliant. The FRESPKT6 is part of Panduit’s complete fiber distribution system, which includes the FiberRunner 24x4, 12x4, 4x4, and 2x2 Routing Systems, Wyr-Grid Overhead Cable Tray System, cable management, and racks. The FiberRunner Expansion Splice Kit is used in Telco Central Offices to route fiber optic jumper cables between fiber distribution frames and equipment bays. It can be deployed over racks or in approved underfloor applications. The kit’s design aligns with Panduit’s QuikLock Couplers, which are designed for time-saving assembly. A selection of spillout options is available to attach to various types of cabling, and a full complement of QuikLock Brackets is available to attach system components to support structures found in all applications.
