Screwdriver, Fiber cleaver, Jacket remover, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
MPO splice-on connector, Mounting screws, Alcohol wipes, Terminal connectors
- Prepare the fiber
Mark the fiber at 150mm from the end, then use the jacket remover to strip the outer sheath and Kevlar back to expose the fiber.
- Cleave the fiber
Place the stripped fiber in the fiber cleaver and cleave it to ensure a clean cut. Clean the fiber with alcohol wipes to remove any debris.
- Assemble the splice-on connector
Slide the rear parts, spring, and protection sleeve onto the cleaved fiber. Set the fiber holder on the splicer and insert the MT stub into the holder.
