Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Pan-Ty Cable Ties, 40mm Discrete Splice Sleeves
- Remove the cover
Press down on the cover removal latch and slide the cover back to remove it from the splice cassette.
- Prepare the incoming cable
Strip the outer jacket of the incoming field cable for 20 inches, ensuring to secure it with Pan-Ty Cable Ties and optionally with a screw for Aramid Yarn.
- Expose and splice fibers
Expose all fiber ends for splicing. Slide a splice sleeve onto either the pigtail or field fiber, then perform the splicing and heat the splice sleeves according to the splicer manufacturer's instructions.
- Route fibers into the cassette
Route the spliced fibers into the cassette, ensuring they are located under the routing tabs. Secure the splice sleeves in the splice sleeve holders, stacking up to two splice sleeves under each holder.
- Reinstall the cover
Slide the cover forward onto the base of the splice cassette to secure it in place.
