Phillips head screwdriver, Wire strippers
Supplies needed:
#10-32 X 1/4” screws, Mounting brackets, Cable ties
- Remove the shipping bracket
Unscrew the Phillips head screws on the top and bottom of the enclosure to remove the shipping bracket.
- Mount the enclosure
Install the mounting brackets using the provided #10-32 X 1/4” screws. Secure the enclosure to the rack with a minimum of four screws, ensuring it is level and stable.
- Install fiber cassettes
Open the enclosure door and slide the tray out to the cassette change position. Disconnect any patch cords if replacing cassettes, lift the cassette from the tray, and install the new cassette by sliding it into place.
- Connect patch cords
Install patch cords into the front of the cassettes from left to right, starting with the bottom tray. Route the cables upward to the corresponding spool.
- Label the installation
Apply the provided labels to the trays and ports according to the EIA606-B labeling standards for easy identification.
- Secure and tidy cables
Use cable ties to group incoming cables and prevent snagging when accessing cassettes. Ensure all cables are routed under the cable holding features.
