- Prepare the crimping tool
Ensure the crimping tool is powered off and remove the battery to prevent unintended starts.
- Install the crimping head
Rotate the crimping head adapter fully clockwise. Press the retract slide to lower the piston completely, then pull out the pins for mounting the CT-2570CH crimping head.
- Secure the crimping head
Slide the crimp dies to the full open position. Lock the CT-2570CH crimping head with the locating pins, ensuring they are securely locked before use.
- Test the crimping head
Perform a test crimp with a terminal connector to ensure proper operation. The crimping cycle is complete when the dies are fully closed and the piston auto-retracts.
