Instructions for field terminating a video cable using the CMD15HDIGY module.

2mm slotted screwdriver, Wire cutters, Wire strippers, Cable stripper, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Video cable

  1. Prepare the video cable

    Using a cable stripper, trim back the video cable approximately 2 inches to expose the conductors. Ensure the drain wire is exposed approximately 1 inch.

  2. Identify conductors

    Identify each conductor according to its signal name using the pinout table. Perform a continuity test to ensure correct identification, as color codes may vary. Note that some conductors may be unused for your application.

  3. Terminate wires

    Turn the terminal screws counter-clockwise to fully open the clamps. Insert the identified coaxial center conductors, coaxial shields, and other conductors into the appropriate slots on the terminal board according to the signal name and pinout table. Turn the screws clockwise to securely fasten the wires.
