How to Install the Vertical Exhaust Duct for N-Type and S-Type Cabinets
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the Vertical Exhaust Duct model C2VED07I3866B1 onto N-Type and S-Type cabinets.

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
M5 x 12mm button head screws, M5 x 10mm hex head screws, M8 x 12mm button head screws, M8 lock washers, Foam seals, Ganging brackets
- Assemble Top Panels
Connect the top front and top rear panels to the top side panels by aligning the clips and sliding them into place. Ensure they are securely locked together.
- Attach Horizontal Adjustment Brackets
Using four M5 x 12mm button head screws, attach the horizontal adjustment brackets to the top of the top front and rear panels. Leave the screws loose for adjustment.
- Secure Top Panels Together
Use eight M5 x 12mm button head screws to secure the four panels that make up the top half of the vertical exhaust duct.
- Connect Bottom Panels
Align the clips on the bottom rear panel with the slots in the bottom side panel, insert them, and slide down to lock. Repeat for the bottom front panel.
- Secure Bottom Panels Together
Use four M5 x 12mm button head screws to secure the four panels that make up the bottom half of the vertical exhaust duct.
- Assemble Top and Bottom Halves
Place the bottom half of the vertical exhaust duct on the floor and align the top half over it. Slide the top half down to connect.
- Insert Adjustment Nuts
Insert four adjustment nuts into the slots on the inside of the bottom half of the vertical exhaust duct, ensuring the barbs face outward.
- Secure Top and Bottom Halves
Fasten four M8 x 12mm button head screws with M8 lock washers through the top half into the adjustment nuts to secure the assembly.
- Apply Foam Seal
Measure and cut foam seals to fit the top border of the vertical exhaust duct, then attach them securely.
- Attach Duct to Cabinet
Lift the vertical exhaust duct and place it over the opening in the cabinet top. Secure it with M5 x 10mm hex head screws.
- Adjust Height of Duct
Loosen the M8 x 12mm screws, adjust the height of the duct as needed, and then tighten the screws to a torque of 3.1 N/m (27 in/lbs).
- Attach Ganging Brackets (if needed)
If ganging multiple ducts, remove screws from the front and rear of the ducts, attach ganging brackets, and adjust horizontal brackets to close gaps.
