Overview

The NSI Industries Polaris IPLD600-4 Multi-Tap Dual-Sided Entry Connector is a pre-insulated, UL Listed 486B wire connector designed for secure, parallel-rated splicing of 600 MCM to 6 AWG copper and aluminum conductors. This 4-port connector features dual-sided wire entry ports, allowing installation access from either side for maximum flexibility in cable trays, panel boards, ducts, raceways, or troughs. Each port is pre-loaded with an oxide inhibitor and includes removable access plugs over hex screws for tool-free torque-controlled tightening using a hex key and torque wrench. The IPLD600-4 eliminates the need for cover and taping, reducing installation time and material costs. Rated for 600V and dual copper/aluminum compatibility, this connector supports parallel configurations with maximum ampacities of 475A for copper and 385A for aluminum. The molded ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip and precise fit, while the removable entry port plugs allow unused ports to be sealed. With dimensions of 5.770" L x 2.710" W x 3.020" H and a weight of 550 grams, the IPLD600-4 is optimized for high-current applications requiring reliable, code-compliant connections in industrial, commercial, and utility environments.
