Overview

The NSI Industries Polaris IPL4-4B is a multi-tap, single-side entry connector designed for efficient wire splicing. This connector features four ports, each accommodating wire sizes from 4 AWG to 14 AWG. The body is constructed from a 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, providing a robust foundation, and is fully insulated with high-dielectric strength plastisol. This insulation is resistant to abrasion, chemicals, and UV rays, and will not support combustion. Each port is pre-loaded with an oxide inhibitor to ensure reliable connections. Removable access plugs cover the internal 1/8" hex pressure screws, allowing for installation with a standard hex key and torque wrench, eliminating the need for additional tape or supplies. The connector is rated for 600V and a 90°C operating temperature, with dual rating for use with copper and aluminum conductors. Maximum amperage ratings are 95A for copper and 75A for aluminum. It is cold temperature rated to -45°C. The single-side wire entry design simplifies installation in various environments, including cable trays, panel boards, ducts, raceways, and troughs. The ergonomically molded insulation offers a comfortable grip during installation. The Polaris IPL4-4B is UL Listed 486B for dry locations.
