The NSI Industries GL40N is a high-conductivity copper compression lug designed for reliable electrical terminations. Its tin plating provides superior corrosion resistance and minimizes contact resistance, crucial for long-term performance. Featuring a peep hole, the GL40N allows for visual confirmation of complete cable insertion, ensuring a secure and safe connection every time. This lug is marked with a die index and color-coded (Purple for 4/0 AWG) for easy identification and application. It is UL486A Listed as a wire connector and cULus Listed (155027), meeting stringent industry standards. The GL40N is rated for 600V maximum and can be used in applications up to 35KV when properly installed according to cable manufacturer's voltage stress relief instructions for applications exceeding 2000V. The lug accommodates a wire range of 4/0 AWG to 1 AWG, with an expanded range of 4/0 AWG to 1 AWG. It features two mounting holes with a 1/2" bolt size and a mounting hole spacing of 1.750 inches. Key dimensions include an inside diameter of 0.547 inches, an outside diameter of 0.689 inches, a length of 4.290 inches, and a width of 1.000 inches. The distance from the end of the connector to the center of the mounting hole (A) is 0.618 inches, the tang length (B) is 0.992 inches, and the barrel length (B1) is 0.984 inches. The tang thickness (C) is 0.134 inches, and the mounting hole diameter (E) is 0.512 inches. Each standard carton contains 25 units.
