- Prepare the EMT
Cut the EMT squarely and remove all burrs using a reaming/deburring tool to ensure an evenly chamfered outer edge.
- Install the coupling
In one motion, slightly rotate and firmly push the Mighty-Seal™ Push-EMT™ Coupling onto the EMT until it reaches the conduit stop (minimum of ½ inch). Do not rotate the EMT more than a ¼ turn.
- Verify the installation
Ensure that the coupling is securely engaged with the EMT and that there are no visible gaps. Check that the installation complies with the National Electrical Code requirements.
