Overview

The CompleTech CA160D is an offset pattern dipole antenna engineered for reliable operation within the 154-166 MHz frequency range. This antenna delivers a consistent 5 dBi gain, supporting both vertical and horizontal polarization for versatile signal transmission and reception. Its construction features a durable, UV-resistant ABS/FG radome with PU foam filling, ensuring protection against environmental factors. The radiator is crafted from high-conductivity copper for optimal signal integrity. Designed for robust mounting, the CA160D attaches to poles with diameters from 35-60 mm using an aluminum alloy bracket with stainless steel V-bolts and self-locking nuts. It boasts a VSWR of less than 1.5, minimizing signal reflection and maximizing power transfer. The antenna's feed point is DC short-circuited for lightning protection, and it is rated IP67 for dust and water ingress protection. Operating within a temperature range of -40ºC to +80ºC, the CA160D is suitable for demanding industrial, commercial, and public safety applications. Connection options include N-, TNC-, and 7/16-female connectors, providing broad compatibility with various radio systems. The antenna's design also emphasizes low wind load, with a rated wind load of 57 N.
