Ty-Rap Cable Ties, Wire Bundles
- Prepare the Cable Tie and Tool
Place the WT3D tool on the cable tie as shown in Figure 2, ensuring the tie is positioned correctly for tightening around the wire bundle. Always wear safety goggles when using the tool.
- Tighten the Cable Tie
Squeeze the handle of the WT3D tool repeatedly until the cable tie reaches the desired tension around the wire bundle. Exercise caution not to overtighten the tie, as this can damage the bundle or the tie itself. Keep fingers away from the front of the tool to avoid pinch points.
- Cut Off Excess Tie
Release the handle pressure to the minimum necessary to hold the nose of the tool against the tie head. Rotate the tool 1/2 turn in either direction, then squeeze the handle again to pull and cut off the excess tail from the tie, ensuring a clean finish.
