CAUTION: This product must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with national and local electrical codes. Select the appropriate Star Teck ST250-477 fitting to match your enclosure and the specific armored cable being used, ensuring it accommodates the cable's armor and jacket ranges as specified in the product table.
- Prepare the Cable
Determine the required working length of the conductor inside the enclosure or device. Carefully remove a portion of the cable's outer jacket to expose the armor. Use a hacksaw to cut the armor, then trim the outer jacket to achieve the exposed armor strip length. Refer to the product documentation or table for the specific strip length required for your cable and fitting. CAUTION: Do not nick or cut the conductor insulation during this process.
- Insert Cable into Fitting
Feed the prepared cable through the gland nut opening of the fitting. Push the cable until its armor firmly contacts the internal end stop of the fitting (refer to Figure 3 in the documentation).
