- Select the Correct Fitting
WARNING: Risk of shock, disconnect power before installation. CAUTION: Product should be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with national and local electrical codes. Select the appropriate Star Teck™ fitting (e.g., ST200-551S) that is suitable for the enclosure and the specific armored cable you are using.
- Prepare the Cable
Determine the required working length of the conductor inside the enclosure or device. Carefully remove a portion of the cable's outer jacket to expose the armor. Use a hacksaw to cut the armor to the specified strip length, referring to the product table for the correct dimensions for your ST200-551S fitting. Trim the outer jacket to adjust the exposed armor strip length. CAUTION: Do not nick or cut the conductor insulation during this process.
- Insert the Cable into the Fitting
