Mounting screws, Cable ties, Boots/Insulators, Terminal connectors
- Mount the MD1M-2
Secure the MD1M-2 motor disconnect to the DIN rail using the integrated clips. Ensure it is level and firmly attached.
- Prepare the wires
Strip the ends of the wires to the appropriate length as specified in Table III. Ensure the wire sizes match the connectors.
- Attach connectors
Attach the stripped wires to the male and female motor disconnects. Ensure proper seating of the connectors.
- Crimp the connectors
Use a crimping tool to securely crimp the connectors onto the wires. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the crimping tool.
- Insert the male pin
Push the male pin into the female barrel until fully inserted, creating a secure connection.
- Install the boot
Slide the boot/insulator onto the pigtail connectors until it stops. This protects the connection from environmental factors.
- Secure the boot
Fasten the first cable tie at the middle of the boot/insulator and the second tie 1/4” from the end. Cut excess tie flush with the head.
- Dress the lead assemblies
Carefully dress the lead assemblies into the junction box, ensuring no wires are pinched or damaged.
- Verify connections
Use a multimeter to verify all connections are secure and properly seated before powering on the system.
