The K650BIP is a 15/25kV 600 Amp Deadbreak Insulating Plug with a test point.

It attaches and insulates Elastimold® K655/6BLR, K655BE, and K655BVS 600 A connectors.

The K650BIP meets ANSI/IEEE Standard 386, Latest Revision.

It is equipped with a capacitive test point and a molded rubber sealing cap as standard. The hex nut also serves as a capacitive test point.

The continuous current rating for the K650BIP is 600 Amp.

The momentary current rating is 25kA Symmetrical for 10 cycles.

For the 15kV voltage class, the maximum phase-to-ground operating voltage is 8.3kV.

The BIL impulse withstand rating for the 15kV voltage class is 95kV (1.2 x 50 microsecond wave).

For the 28kV voltage class, the maximum phase-to-ground operating voltage is 16.2kV.
