Estimated time: 1h
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Core drill, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, 3/4" conduit, Steel conduit fittings, Thread sealer
- Drill the installation hole
Using a core drill, create a 6" diameter hole in the floor, ensuring it is at least 6" away from any walls or pillars.
- Install the Poke-Through
Align the Poke-Through over the drilled hole and push it down until the top rim contacts the concrete floor. Ensure that the power and data through-holes span across the corrugation in the deck.
- Make electrical connections
Install the required ¾" conduit and steel fittings on top of the Poke-Through cover. Feed the power wires through the conduit into the junction box and make connections according to local and national electrical codes.
- Install the cover
Remove the plugs from the cover and install the FFPT6 cover according to the instructions provided with it.
- Verify installation
Check all connections and ensure that the installation complies with local electrical codes. Use a multimeter to verify that there are no shorts or open circuits.
