- Apply sealant and lower the AFM
Before lowering the AFM Box into the hole, apply a generous bead of caulk or sealant to the perimeter on the underside of the Carpet flange to prevent water entry.
- Secure the AFM Box
Lower the AFM Box into the cut hole and use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the 2 1/4" stainless steel screws through the Swing arms until they engage the underside of the flooring.
- Connect wiring and devices
Open the AFM Lid, attach any necessary devices, and install all wiring in accordance with National and Local Electrical Codes.
- Close the AFM Lid
Ensure all cords are properly routed and within the slot opening, then close the AFM Lid by inserting the Lid tab into the slot in the Carpet flange and pushing down to engage the latch.
