- Observe Safety Precautions
WARNING: Disconnect all power to the electrical system before beginning installation to prevent risk of electrical shock. Ensure installation is performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all national and local electrical codes.
- Prepare Conduit and Position Gland Nut
Ensure the flexible non-metallic conduit has a square-cut end for an effective connection. Slip the gland nut onto the conduit with its wide end facing towards the connector body.
- Connect Conduit to Fitting Body (Method A: By Turning)
Place the 'Left Handed Conduit Gripping Thread' of the connector body into the conduit. Tighten the connector body counter-clockwise until the conduit touches the straight threaded shoulder. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN. This method is typically used when the connector body is not pre-mounted to a box.
- Connect Conduit to Fitting Body (Method B: By Flexing)
If the connector body is pre-mounted to a box, place the conduit over the 'Left Handed Conduit Gripping Thread'. Push on with a flexible up and down and side to side motion until the conduit touches the straight threaded shoulder of the connector. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.
- Secure the Gland Nut
Thread the gland nut onto the fitting body. Using a wrench, tighten the gland nut clockwise until its base is snug on the hex of the body. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN, as this can damage the connection or components.
- Verify Liquid-Tight Connection
