- Prepare for Installation and Ensure Safety
WARNING: Risk of shock, disconnect power before installation. CAUTION: Product should be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with national and local electrical codes. Ensure the flexible conduit has a square-cut end for an effective connection.
- Prepare the Conduit with Gland Nut
Slip the gland nut onto the flexible conduit. Ensure the wide end of the gland nut faces towards the connector body. This step is common for both installation methods.
- Attach Connector to Conduit (Method 1: By Turning)
Insert the connector's 'Left Handed Conduit Gripping Thread' into the conduit. Turn the connector counter-clockwise until the conduit touches the straight threaded shoulder of the connector. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.
- Attach Connector to Conduit (Method 2: By Flexing, if Body Pre-Mounted)
If the connector body is pre-mounted to an electrical box, place the conduit over the 'Left Handed Conduit Gripping Thread'. Push the conduit onto the connector using a flexible up-and-down and side-to-side motion until the conduit touches the straight threaded shoulder of the connector. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.
- Secure the Gland Nut
Thread the gland nut onto the fitting body. Tighten it clockwise with a wrench until the base of the gland nut is snug against the hex of the connector body. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN to avoid damage.
