PCJ power cable joints can be used with both copper and aluminum conductors.

Elastimold PCJ power cable joints are available in 15 kV, 25 kV, and 35 kV classes.

Style 1 has a single-piece housing for straight splicing. Style 2 has a universal housing with separate cable adapters for transition splicing.

They can be installed in direct-burial, underground vault, and even overhead applications. They provide a permanent, fully shielded, fully submersible splice.

These joints can be used with cable sizes up to 1250 kcmil.

PCJ power cable joints support straight splicing of two similar cables or transition splicing of different cable sizes.

They are power cable joints with permanently crimped connectors inside EPDM rubber housings, offering proven reliability.

An all-copper compression connector is required for copper-to-copper connections. Copper connectors should not be used on aluminum conductors.

The continuous current rating is equal to the cable rating. The short-time current rating is equal to the cable rating up to 35 kA.

The shield design meets IEEE 592 standard, and connectors meet ANSI 119.4 Class A and Class 3 ratings.
