How to Install the WCHE06916002 Heat Exchanger

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the WCHE06916002 heat exchanger, including mounting, plumbing connections, and initial setup.

Estimated time: 1h

Tools needed:

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Adhesive gasket, Thread tape, NPT adapting valves

  1. Prepare the installation area

Ensure the cabinet is clean, Type 12 or IP55 rated, and has sufficient space for installation. Verify that there are no heat sources nearby and that air circulation is adequate.

  2. Cut the cabinet for mounting

Using the provided template marked EXW25 for the WCHE069 model, cut the cabinet panel to the specified dimensions. Remove any sharp edges or burrs.

  3. Mount the heat exchanger

Attach the adhesive gasket to the mounting surface of the heat exchanger. Position the heat exchanger against the cabinet and secure it with the included screws, ensuring a tight seal.

  4. Make plumbing connections

Connect the water supply using the included on/off valves and thread tape. Ensure that 'G' to NPT adapting valves are used, as direct NPT fittings will leak. Check for leaks after introducing water into the circuit.

  5. Install pressure gauges

Install an inlet and outlet pressure gauge on the plumbing circuit along with a gate valve to control water flow and prevent corrosion of the copper piping.

  6. Perform initial checks

Verify that all connections are secure, there are no leaks, and the pressure in the plumbing circuit does not exceed the admissible values. Ensure the unit is protected from freezing.
