Designed for demanding applications, this 20,000 BTU unit operates on 460V power and features a rugged steel construction with a light gray finish, ensuring long-lasting performance even in harsh outdoor conditions. Engineered by nVent, a trusted leader in thermal management solutions, the SpectraCool G57 series combines reliability, clean aesthetics, and simplified installation to protect sensitive equipment from overheating while maintaining optimal operating temperatures. Industrial-grade cooling for enclosures and cabinets The SpectraCool Outdoor Partial Recess Mount Air Conditioner is specifically engineered to maintain precise temperature control within electrical enclosures, control panels, and sensitive electronic equipment housings. Unlike traditional air conditioning systems, this unit is designed for partial recess mounting, allowing for seamless integration into existing infrastructure without compromising structural integrity or aesthetics. The 20,000 BTU cooling capacity makes it ideal for medium to large enclosures in manufacturing plants, data centers, telecommunications facilities, and outdoor utility stations where ambient temperatures can exceed safe operating thresholds for critical components. Key features and technical advantages The SpectraCool G57 series stands out for its filterless design, eliminating the need for routine maintenance while reducing operational downtime. This feature is particularly valuable in industrial settings where access to equipment may be restricted or where airborne contaminants could clog traditional filtration systems. The unit’s robust steel construction provides superior protection against corrosion, vibration, and physical impact, ensuring consistent performance in outdoor or high-traffic environments. Additionally, the light gray finish offers a professional appearance that blends seamlessly with industrial and commercial facilities. Applications across industries This air conditioner is purpose-built for industries where equipment reliability is non-negotiable. How to Install the G572046G101 Air Conditioner

Installation guide for mounting and wiring the G572046G101 air conditioner.

Estimated time: 45m

Tools needed:

Wrench, Ratchet driver

Supplies needed:

Mounting gasket kit, Copper conductors

  1. Inspect and Test Functionality

Inspect the air conditioner and verify correct functionality before mounting. Ensure the unit has been upright for at least 5 minutes before operation. Refer to the 'HANDLING AND TESTING THE AIR CONDITIONER' section on page 3 for detailed testing procedures. CAUTION: The air conditioner must be in an upright position during operation to prevent damage to the compressor and voiding the warranty.

  2. Prepare for Mounting

Install the mounting gasket to the air conditioner using the provided mounting gasket kit. Ensure the gasket is properly seated to maintain a watertight seal.

  3. Mount the Air Conditioner

Mount the air conditioner onto the enclosure. Avoid dragging the unit on the enclosure to prevent damage to the mounting gasket. Start mounting bolts by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten with a wrench or ratchet driver.

  4. Wire the Unit

Refer to the unit's nameplate for electrical requirements. Wire the unit to a properly grounded power supply using copper conductors only. The electrical circuit should be fused with a slow blow or HACR circuit breaker. For 3-phase units, verify correct electrical phasing by checking the phase monitor light after applying power. If the light is not illuminated, disconnect power and swap any two power leads at the terminal block.

  5. Connect Thermostat (if applicable)

If your air conditioner requires a remote-mounted thermostat, wire the thermostat outputs to the appropriate terminals on the 24 VAC terminal strip according to the correct wiring diagram for your unit model.

  6. Set Thermostat

Set the thermostat to the required cabinet temperature. Refer to the 'Sequence of Operation' on page 4 for details on thermostat adjustment and operation. Do not set the enclosure thermostat to a temperature lower than 70 F to prevent coil freeze-ups.
