How to Install the WCHE01916002 Heat Exchanger
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the WCHE01916002 heat exchanger, including mounting, plumbing connections, and initial setup.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Adhesive gasket, Thread tape, NPT adapting valves
- Prepare the installation site
Ensure the cabinet is Type 12 or IP55 rated, clean, and has enough space for installation. Verify that there are no heat sources nearby and that air circulation is adequate.
- Cut the cabinet for mounting
Using the provided template for the WCHE01916002 model, cut the necessary openings in the cabinet. Remove any sharp edges or burrs from the cut area.
- Attach the adhesive gasket
Apply the adhesive gasket to the mounting surface of the heat exchanger to ensure a tight seal when mounted.
- Mount the heat exchanger
Position the heat exchanger against the cabinet and secure it using the included mounting screws. Confirm that the gasket forms a tight seal.
- Make plumbing connections
Connect the water supply using the included on/off valves and NPT adapting valves. Use thread tape on the valve threads to prevent leaks.
- Check for leaks
Introduce water into the circuit and inspect all connections for leaks. Ensure the pressure does not exceed the unit's specifications.
- Install pressure gauges
Install an inlet and outlet pressure gauge on the plumbing circuit along with a gate valve to control water flow and monitor pressure.
- Power up the unit
Connect the power supply to the heat exchanger and ensure all electrical connections are secure. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for initial power-up.
- Perform initial checks
After powering up, verify that the unit operates correctly and check for any unusual noises or leaks.
