How to Install the TFP101SS Side-Mount Filter Fan
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the TFP101SS side-mount filter fan in an enclosure, ensuring proper airflow and safety.

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Grounding wire (not supplied)
- Determine the installation location
Select an appropriate location on the vertical side of the enclosure for the fan, ensuring clearance for electrical components and following airflow guidelines.
- Prepare the enclosure
Clear all wires and components from the installation area and make the proper size cutout for the fan, ensuring compliance with local codes.
- Ground the fan housing
If electrical grounding is required, connect a grounding wire to the fan housing using the provided green grounding screw.
- Mount the fan
Secure the fan to the plenum using the supplied thread cutting screws, ensuring the airflow direction is correct as indicated by arrows on the fan housing.
- Insert the fan assembly
Place the assembled fan package into the enclosure cutout, ensuring the gasket is positioned between the plenum and the enclosure wall.
- Secure the fan package
Use the supplied screws, lockwashers, and nuts to secure the fan package in place.
- Install the filter and grille
For models TFP61UL12, TFP62UL12, TFP101UL12, and TFP102UL12, snap the finger guard in place and insert the filter over it. For models TFP41UL12 and TFP42UL12, insert the filter into the plenum.
- Final assembly
Snap the grille onto the fan package to complete the installation.
