Overview

Protect your outdoor electrical and electronic enclosures from solar radiation and harsh weather with the nVent SW1LGLWH Wall-Mount Solar Shield (SKU: SW1LGLWH). This Type 4 and 12 rated shield significantly reduces internal enclosure temperatures, preventing overheating and extending equipment lifespan. It blocks direct sunlight, rain, and snow from the top, sides, and rear. The white powder paint finish maximizes solar heat reflection, achieving an approximate 56% reduction in temperature rise due to solar heat load, as per nVent research. Constructed from durable 14-gauge galvanized steel, it offers long-term corrosion resistance. Two sets of fully-adjustable mounting channels allow for the secure installation of various wall-mount enclosures, including nVent (Hoffman) CONCEPT, INLINE, and standard NEMA Type 4 junction boxes (e.g., Bulletins A51NF and A51FL). Dimensions are 24.00" x 24.00" x 12.75", accommodating enclosures up to 20.00" x 20.00" x 12.00". Meets UL 508A, cUL, NEMA/EEMAC Type 4 and 12, and IEC 60529 IP66 standards. Mounting hardware and instructions are included for straightforward installation.
  • Adjustable mounting allows various wall-mount enclosures to fit inside the solar shield
  • Refer to the table to determine which solar shield fits your enclosure size
  • Shields are finished with paint over plated surfaces
  • Hardware is included for mounting the solar shield to an enclosure
  • Accommodates enclosures up to 20" x 20" x 12"
