This guide provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the various panels, handles, and bottom plates of the SPM-3R enclosure, including sealing for IP55 rating.
Estimated time: 1h 30m
Tools needed:
T30 tool, SW10 wrench, SW3 tool, T25 tool
Supplies needed:
M5x10 screws, M6x12 screws, M8x16 screws, BG01 sealing components
- Review Safety Warnings
Before starting assembly, review the safety warnings. If mounting on or over a combustible surface, install a floor plate of at least 1.43 mm galvanized or 1.6 mm uncoated steel extending at least 150 mm beyond the equipment on all sides. Ensure that devices used to close openings maintain the enclosure's environmental integrity.
- Mount the Lift Handle
Attach the lift handle to the enclosure using the provided M5x10 screws. Use a SW10 wrench and a SW3 tool to tighten the screws to a torque of 4-5.5 Nm.
- Install the Top Panel
Position the top panel on the enclosure. Secure it using M5x10 screws with a T25 tool, applying a torque of 4-5 Nm. If the enclosure is 1000mm wide or above, use M6x12 screws with a T30 tool instead.
- Install the Back Panel
Mount the back panel to the enclosure. Secure it using the specified fasteners with a T25 tool, applying a torque of 4.5-5 Nm. For 1200mm wide enclosures, use additional fasteners and tighten to 10-15 Nm.
- Mount the Bottom Plates
Install the bottom plates (bottom right, bottom left, top right, top left) using M8x16 screws. Use a T30 tool to tighten the screws to a torque of 10-15 Nm. Ensure the plates are correctly oriented for future mounting and unmounting operations.
- Seal the Bottom Plates (Optional for IP55)
If an IP55 rating is required, install the BG01 sealing components (ordered separately) to the bottom plates. Secure these components using M8x16 screws with a T30 tool, applying a torque of 10-15 Nm.
