How to Install the S2MESTC End Cap
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for securely mounting the S2MESTC End Cap onto the open ends of a support tube, ensuring proper sealing and preventing component slippage.
Estimated time: 10m
Tools needed:
Allen key (SW 5 recommended), Torque wrench
Supplies needed:
S2MESTC End Cap, Screws (included with end cap), Screw seals (included with end cap), Lubricating oil, Limit stop screw
- Prepare Components and Position End Cap
Before screwing, push the screw seals onto the screws. Then, place the S2MESTC end cap onto the end of the support tube. Ensure the end cap is correctly aligned with the tube.
- Install First Two Screws
Screw in one screw completely, applying oil for lubrication to facilitate the process. Next, screw in the diagonally opposite screw, ensuring its seal is properly seated.
- Install Remaining Screws
Finally, screw in the other two remaining screws completely, also using oil for lubrication. Ensure all screws are engaged but not yet fully tightened.
- Tighten All Screws to Specified Torque
Tighten all four screws to a torque of 5 Nm. Ensure the end cap is firmly secured and the seals are not damaged during this process. Do not overtighten.
- Install Limit Stop Screw
Install the limit stop screw in the tube region near the end cap. This screw is crucial to prevent the ERGO.SLIDE component from slipping over the end cap. If a thread for the screw is not present, it must be retrofitted.
