Overview

The nVent PV1120 (SKU: PV1120) is a 100mm high ventilated front and rear plinth designed for floor-standing industrial enclosures up to 1200mm wide. Constructed from 2mm mild steel corner pieces and 1.5mm mild steel panels with double returns for enhanced strength, it features a durable RAL 7022 structured powder coating. This plinth facilitates unrestricted cable management in accordance with VDE 0113 standards, providing essential space beneath enclosures. Its ventilated panels promote natural airflow, crucial for thermal management of internal equipment. The PV1120 includes four corner pieces and removable front covers, with mounting accessories for integration with nVent side panels (PS) and transversal profiles (PCP), sold separately. For optimal ventilation, it is recommended for use with the ventilated bottom plate CVB. Transversal panels (PCP) are advised for bayed enclosures to support cable ducts and add rigidity. This plinth system ensures organized cabling and aids thermal control in industrial automation, control systems, and power distribution applications.

How to Mount PF/PV/PS Series Components

This guide outlines the general mounting procedure for PF/PV/PS series components, focusing on bolt sizes and torque specifications for secure installation.

Estimated time: 30m

Tools needed:

SW19 wrench, SW8 wrench, T40 Torx wrench

Supplies needed:

M12 bolts, M8x16 bolts

  1. Secure Main Component with M12 Bolts

Using a SW19 wrench, secure the main component at two designated points with M12 bolts. Apply a torque of 15-20 Nm to each bolt to ensure a firm attachment.

  2. Attach Secondary Component with M8x16 Bolts

Utilize an SW8 wrench to attach the secondary component using 4 to 8 M8x16 bolts. Tighten these bolts to a torque of 10-15 Nm.

  3. Fasten Additional M12 Connections

For any remaining M12 or M12x20 connections, use a SW19 wrench and apply a torque of 15-20 Nm. Ensure all connections are secure according to the specifications.
