This guide details the physical mounting and securing procedures for the MCU Control Unit, including specific torque specifications for various fasteners and components.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Torque wrench (capable of 4-20Nm), Torx screwdriver (T25, T30), Socket/Wrench set (for M5, M6, M8, M12 fasteners)
Supplies needed:
M12x20 bolts, M12 nuts, M8 nuts, M8 components (e.g., washers), M8x16 screws, M6x12 screws, 4.5x8 screws, M5x10 screws, M6 nuts, K components, L components, Gasket, CCI06 brackets (if using bayed variant, ordered separately), CNT05 alternative fixation kit (if used, ordered separately)
- Prepare the MCU for Mounting
Before mounting, ensure that the gasket is correctly positioned outside the corner holes, especially for MCU units 1000mm wide or larger. Identify if CCI06 brackets are required for a bayed variant or if the CNT05 kit will be used for alternative fixation, as these may need to be ordered separately.
- Secure Primary Mounting Points
Using M12x20 bolts (A) and M12 nuts (B), secure the main unit components. Apply a torque of 15-20Nm. Next, use M8 nuts (C), M8 components (D), and M8x16 screws (E) to secure the designated parts, applying a torque of 8-10Nm. Finally, secure relevant sections with M6x12 screws (F), applying a torque of 10-15Nm.
- Fasten Secondary Components and Brackets
Secure components using M5x10 screws (H), applying a torque of 4-5Nm. Then, use M6 nuts (J) to secure other components, also applying a torque of 4-5Nm. Secure additional components with 4.5x8 screws (G), applying a torque of 4-5Nm. If utilizing the alternative fixation method with the CNT05 kit, secure it using 4.5x8 screws with a torque of 4.5-5Nm.
