This guide provides step-by-step instructions for the physical assembly and fixation of the MCU unit, including gasket installation and securing various components with specified torque values.
Estimated time: 1h
Tools needed:
T30 Torx wrench, T25 Torx wrench, SW10 wrench, SW13 wrench, Torque wrench
Supplies needed:
M12x20 screws, M12 nuts, M8 nuts, M8 washers, M8x16 screws, M6x12 screws, 4.5x8 screws, M5x10 screws, M6 nuts, Gasket, CCI06 brackets (for bayed variant, ordered separately), CNT05 fixation kit (for alternative fixation, ordered separately)
- Install Gasket
Carefully position and fix the gasket outside the corner holes of the MCU unit. Ensure it is properly seated to provide a seal, as this is crucial for the unit's integrity.
- Assemble Primary Structural Components
Begin by securing the primary structural components using the M12x20 screws (A) and M12 nuts (B). Tighten these fasteners to a torque of 10-15Nm using a T30 Torx wrench and a torque wrench. Next, use the M8 nuts (C) and M8 washers (D) to connect further structural elements, applying a torque of 8-10Nm with an SW13 wrench. Finally, install the M8x16 screws (E) and tighten them to 15-20Nm to complete the main structural assembly.
- Attach Secondary Components and Panels
Attach any secondary components or panels using the M5x10 screws (H), M6x12 screws (F), and M6 nuts (J). For these fasteners, apply a torque of 4-5Nm using a T25 Torx wrench and an SW10 wrench with a torque wrench. Also, use the 4.5x8 screws (G) to secure other panels or covers as indicated in the diagram. Note that the M5x10 screws (H) are specifically for MCU units 1000mm wide or larger.
