How to Install and Mount the MCU2048R5

This guide provides detailed instructions for the mechanical installation and mounting of the MCU2048R5, including specific torque requirements for various fasteners and an optional alternative fixation method.

Torque wrench, T25 Torx driver, T30 Torx driver, SW10 socket wrench, SW13 socket wrench, Screwdriver

Supplies needed:

M12 screws and nuts, M8 screws and nuts, M6 screws and nuts, M5 screws, Gasket, CCI06 brackets (optional, for bayed variant), CNT05 fixation kit (optional, for alternative fixation)

  1. Prepare the MCU Unit and Gasket

    Before mounting, ensure the gasket is correctly fixed outside the corner holes of the MCU unit. This is crucial for proper sealing and fitment. Identify the mounting points for the main assembly components (A, B, C, D, E, G) as indicated in the diagrams.

  2. Assemble the Primary Mounting Frame

    Secure the main frame components using four M12x20 screws (A) and four M12 nuts (B). Tighten these to a torque of 15-20Nm using appropriate tools (T30, SW10, SW13). Attach four M8 nuts (C) and four M8x16 screws (E) along with four M8 components (D) to their designated positions. Tighten these fasteners to a torque of 15-20Nm. Install six 4.5x8 screws (G) into their respective holes, tightening each to a torque of 4-5Nm.

  3. Mount the MCU Unit and Bayed Variant Components

    Attach two M6x12 screws (F) to the main assembly points as shown in the diagram with components A-G, tightening them to a torque of 8-10Nm. For MCU units 1000mm wide or larger, install six M5x10 screws (H) and four M6 nuts (J), tightening them to 4-5Nm. Also, secure components K (2 units) and L (2 units) with 4-5Nm torque. Additionally, attach four M6x12 screws (F) to secure the MCU unit itself, as depicted in the diagram with components H-L, tightening them to a torque of 8-10Nm. If installing the bayed variant for the MCU, ensure the CCI06 brackets (to be ordered separately) are correctly positioned and secured.

  4. Implement Alternative Fixation with CNT05 (Optional)

    If using the CNT05 fixation kit (to be ordered separately) as an alternative mounting method, use a T25 Torx driver. Secure the CNT05 components using 4.5x8 screws, tightening them to a torque of 4.5-5Nm. Refer to the specific steps 1, 2, and 3 in the 'ALTERNATIVE FIXATION WITH CNT05' diagram for detailed placement.
