This guide provides step-by-step instructions for the mechanical assembly and mounting of the MCU2046R5 enclosure, including specific fastener types and torque specifications for secure installation.

Supplies needed:

Gasket, Fasteners (M12x20, M12, M8, M8x16, M6x12, 4.5x8, M5x10, M6), K components, L components, CCI06 brackets (optional, for bayed variant), CNT05 components (optional, for alternative fixation)

  1. Prepare the Enclosure Gasket

    Before proceeding with assembly, ensure the gasket is correctly positioned and firmly fixed outside the corner holes of the MCU enclosure. This step is crucial for maintaining the enclosure's integrity and sealing.

  2. Assemble and Secure Main Enclosure Components

    Using the appropriate tools, install fasteners A (M12x20), B (M12), C (M8), D (M8), E (M8x16), F (M6x12), and G (4.5x8) as indicated in the diagrams. Apply the following torques: 15-20Nm for fasteners A, 8-10Nm for fasteners B, 10-15Nm for fasteners C, D, and E, and 4-5Nm for fasteners F and G. Always use a calibrated torque wrench for accurate tightening to prevent damage or loosening.

  3. Install Additional Components for Wide MCUs (if applicable)

    If your MCU unit is 1000mm wide or greater, install the additional fasteners H (M5x10), J (M6), K, and L as shown in the specific diagram for wide MCUs. Tighten these fasteners to a torque of 4-5Nm using a torque wrench.

  4. Mount Bayed Variant or Alternative Fixation (if applicable)

    If you are installing a bayed variant of the MCU, use the CCI06 brackets (which must be ordered separately) to secure it. For alternative fixation methods, utilize the CNT05 components (also to be ordered separately) and tighten them to a torque of 4.5-5Nm.
