This guide provides detailed instructions for assembling the MCS-3R floor-standing enclosure, including mounting the lift handle, top panel, back panel, and bottom plates, while adhering to safety guidelines.
Estimated time: 2h
Tools needed:
T30 Torx driver, SW19 wrench, T25 Torx driver
Supplies needed:
M6x12 screws, M12x20 screws, M5x10 screws, St. 5.5x10 screws, M8x16 screws, BG01 sealing gaskets
- Observe Safety Warnings
Before beginning assembly, be aware of critical safety warnings. When mounting on or over a combustible surface, install a floor plate of at least 1.43 mm galvanized or 1.6 mm uncoated steel, extended at least 150 mm beyond the equipment on all sides. To maintain the environmental integrity of the enclosure, use devices with the same environmental ratings to close openings in customized enclosures.
- Mount the Lift Handle
Attach the lift handle components as shown in Pic 7. Use M6x12 screws (Qty 2) and M12x20 screws (Qty 4). For enclosures 800mm deep and above, use the specified M12x20 screws. Tighten the M6x12 screws to 8-9 Nm using a T30 Torx driver. For the M12x20 screws, first tighten to 15-20 Nm using an SW19 wrench, then for subsequent tightening, use 4-5 Nm.
- Install the Top Panel
Secure the top panel according to Pic 8. Use M5x10 screws (Qty 2) and M6x12 screws (Qty 16 or 18 for enclosures 1000mm wide and above). Tighten all screws to a torque of 4-5 Nm using a T25 Torx driver.
- Install the Back Panel
Mount the back panel as illustrated in Pic 9. Use St. 5.5x10 screws (Qty 6 or 8) and M8x16 screws (Qty 2). The M8x16 screws are used only on 1200mm wide enclosures. Tighten the St. 5.5x10 screws to 4.5-5 Nm using a T25 Torx driver. Tighten the M8x16 screws to 10-15 Nm.
- Mount the Bottom Plates
Install the bottom plates as shown in Pic 10. Use M8x16 screws (Qty 2 for each plate, total 4 for two plates). Tighten these screws to a torque of 10-15 Nm using a T30 Torx driver. Ensure the plates are correctly oriented (bottom right, bottom left, top right, top left).
- Seal the Bottom Plates
For IP55 environmental integrity, seal the bottom plates as depicted in Pic 11. Install the BG01 sealing gaskets (ordered separately) by clicking them into place. Ensure a secure seal around the bottom plates.
