How to Assemble and Mount the MCS20066R53R Floor Standing Enclosure

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for assembling and mounting the MCS20066R53R floor standing enclosure, including attaching internal components, locking systems, and panels.

Estimated time: 2h

Tools needed:

SW13 Socket Wrench, T30 Torx Wrench, SW10 Socket Wrench, SW3 Socket Wrench, T25 Torx Wrench, SW19 Socket Wrench, Torque Wrench

Supplies needed:

M5x10 screws, M5 screws, M6x12 screws, M12x20 screws, M12 nuts, St. 5.5x10 screws, M8x16 screws, Metal Guider, Lift Handle, Standard Locking System components, Lift Handle Locking System components, Top Panel, Back Panel, Bottom Plates, BG01 sealing kit (optional, for IP55)

  1. Review Safety Warnings

Before starting, review all safety warnings. If mounting on or over a combustible surface, install a floor plate of at least 1.43 mm galvanized or 1.6 mm uncoated steel extended at least 150 mm beyond the equipment on all sides. Ensure devices with the same environmental ratings are used to close openings to maintain enclosure integrity.

  2. Mount the Metal Guider

Attach the Metal Guider (Ref. A, Pic. B) to the enclosure frame using the provided M5x10 screws (Qty. 4). Tighten the screws to a torque of 4-5.5 Nm using an SW3 socket wrench.

  3. Install the Lift Handle

Mount the Lift Handle (Ref. 1) to the door using the specified screws (Ref. 2, 3). Ensure the handle is securely fastened according to the diagram.

  4. Install the Lift Handle Locking System

Assemble and install the Lift Handle Locking System components (Ref. 1, 2, 3, 4) onto the door. Verify the system allows for 180-degree rotation as shown in the diagram.

  5. Install the Standard Locking System

Assemble and install the Standard Locking System components (Ref. 1, 2, 3, 4) onto the door. Verify the system allows for 180-degree rotation as shown in the diagram.

  6. Attach the Top Panel

Position the Top Panel (Ref. A) onto the enclosure frame. Secure it using M6x12 screws (Ref. B) and M12x20 screws (Ref. C) with M12 nuts (Ref. D). For enclosures 800mm deep and above, use the specified M12x20 screws. Tighten M6x12 screws to 8-9 Nm and M12x20 screws to 15-20 Nm for the first tightening, then 4-5 Nm for subsequent tightening. Use T30 and SW19 tools.

  7. Attach the Back Panel

Mount the Back Panel (Ref. A) to the rear of the enclosure frame. Secure it using the provided screws (Ref. B, C). Tighten the screws to a torque of 4.5-5 Nm using a T25 tool. For 1200mm wide enclosures, use the specific screws indicated by '*'.

  8. Mount the Bottom Plates

Install the bottom plates (Bottom right, Bottom left, Top right, Top left) to the base of the enclosure. Secure them using M8x16 screws (Ref. A, B, C, D, E, F, G). Tighten the screws to a torque of 10-15 Nm using a T30 tool. Ensure proper orientation for mounting and unmounting as depicted.

  9. Seal the Bottom Plates (Optional for IP55)

If an IP55 rating is required, install the BG01 sealing kit (ordered separately) around the bottom plates. Follow the instructions for sealing, ensuring a tight fit to maintain environmental integrity.
