Overview

The nVent KBAU6NBNCLE is a robust brass cable gland engineered for secure armored cable entry into enclosures in hazardous locations. It meets stringent industrial standards, approved for Zone 1, 2 (Gas Group IIC) and Zone 21, 22 (Dust Group IIIC) environments, holding ATEX, IEC, UL, and CSA certifications. This gland ensures essential strain relief and maintains enclosure integrity with IP66/68 ingress protection, suitable for Ex d, Ex e, and Ex tb applications. Its design features three levels of removable seals, providing a wider clamping range and effective environmental sealing. Constructed from high-quality brass, it offers excellent corrosion resistance for harsh industrial conditions. The kit includes a locknut and an earth tag for simplified installation and proper grounding. Operating reliably within a temperature range of -40°C (-40°F) to 100°C (212°F) with its chloroprene seal, the 2-inch NPT thread size ensures a standardized connection. SKU: KBAU6NBNCLE. Manufacturer: nVent.
  • Suitable for SWA (steel wire armored), AWA (aluminum wire armored), SWB (steel wire braid), STA (steel tape armored), & shielded cable in flameproof (ex d), increased safety (ex e) and dust (ex tb) applications
  • Allow for double sealing of cable and jacket with upper and lower seals
  • The swivel retainer and grounding cone are adhered to the gland body by the o-rings to prevent any loose parts; to remove, simply pull these components slightly to detach
  • All metric thread cable glands are packaged as kits and includes a chloroprene washer, locknut and earthtag
  • All NPT thread cable glands are packaged as kits. Each kit includes a locknut and earthtag (except for NPT 3/8-in. cable glands which do not include locknut and earthtag)
  • Available in Metric (M) and NPT (N) thread type
  • Operating temperature from -40 C to 100 C with chloroprene seal and -60 C to 130 C with silicon seal
