How to Install the Side-Mount Filter Fans and Grilles
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing side-mount filter fans and grilles in an enclosure.

Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Torque wrench
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Cutout template
- Prepare the enclosure
Apply the cutout template to the desired location on the side of the enclosure and cut out the hole using the appropriate size for your model.
- Insert the fan or grille
Deburr the cutting edge and insert the fan or grille into the opening until all four corners snap and lock securely.
- Install mounting fasteners
If the enclosure material thickness is between 0.10 (2.5 mm) and 0.14 (3.5 mm), install mounting fasteners by removing the grille and drilling out the necessary holes. Torque the fasteners to 20-25 in-lbs (2.3-2.8 Nm).
- Wire the filter fan
Follow the wiring diagrams provided for your specific model to connect the filter fan correctly.
- Verify clearance
Ensure that the installed filter fan has a minimum clearance of 7.00 (178 mm) from any obstructions.
