How to Install the Side-Mount Filter Fans and Grilles
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing side-mount filter fans and grilles in an enclosure, ensuring proper airflow and cooling.

Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Cutout template
- Prepare the enclosure
Apply the cutout template to the desired location on the side of the enclosure. Ensure the area is clear of internal components before cutting.
- Cut the hole
Using the appropriate size cutout tool, cut the hole in the enclosure as specified for your model. Deburr the cutting edge to avoid sharp edges.
- Insert the fan or grille
Insert the fan or grille into the cutout opening and push until all four corners snap and lock into place.
- Secure the installation
If the enclosure material thickness is between 0.10 and 0.14 inches, install mounting fasteners. For thickness greater than 0.14 inches, it is required to use fasteners. Remove the grille to access the mounting holes if necessary.
- Wire the filter fan
Refer to the wire diagrams for your specific model and connect the wiring accordingly. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Verify clearance
Ensure that the installed filter fan has a minimum clearance of 7.00 inches (178 mm) from any obstruction.
- Test the installation
Power on the system and use a multimeter to verify that the fan operates correctly and that there are no electrical issues.
