How to Install the HF0424413 Filter Fan
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the HF0424413 filter fan into an enclosure, ensuring proper mounting and wiring.

Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Drill, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Cutout template
- Prepare the enclosure
Apply the cutout template to the desired location on the side of the enclosure. Ensure that all internal components are clear of the cutting area to avoid damage.
- Cut the hole
Using the appropriate size cutout tool, cut the hole in the enclosure as per the template instructions. Deburr the cutting edge to prevent injury.
- Install the filter fan
Insert the filter fan into the cutout until all four corners snap and lock into place. If the enclosure material thickness is between 0.10 and 0.14 inches, install mounting fasteners for added security.
- Secure the fan
If necessary, drill out the mounting holes in the filter housing using a 1/8 inch drill bit for model HF04. Torque the fasteners to 20-25 in-lbs (2.3-2.8 Nm) to secure the fan.
- Wire the filter fan
Follow the wiring diagrams provided in the manual to connect the filter fan to the power supply. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated.
- Verify installation
Check that the installed filter fan has a minimum clearance of 7.00 inches (178 mm) from any obstruction. Use a multimeter to verify that the fan is receiving power and operating correctly.
